NEWWAVE COMMUNICATIONS AND DARK FIBER SOLUTIONS, INC., JOIN FORCES TO PROVIDE FIBER OPTIC HIGH-SPEED BUSINESS SOLUTIONS

HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY - NewWave Communications (NewWave) announced today that it has executed a Network Development Agreement with Dark Fiber Solutions, Inc. (DFS). NewWave is the leading provider of Digital Television, High Speed Internet and Digital Phone services, while DFS is one of the industry leaders in the design, implementation and support of high speed fiber optic based services for Schools, Hospitals, Municipalities and Commercial customers throughout the country. This new agreement will significantly enhance the ability of both companies to provide these high bandwidth fiber optic based services throughout NewWave's Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois markets.

DFS and NewWave intend to utilize the additional capacity of the existing Fiber Optic infrastructure in these markets to deliver enhanced fiber optic based services. These services will provide customers with the customized networking resources they need to reduce costs, improve efficiency, establish a centralized data backup plan and streamline their business applications. These services will also provide transport speeds between multiple locations at speeds previously only available within a single facility, thereby turning a multiple location facility into one virtual campus. Existing customers have utilized these networking resources to deploy applications such as video conferencing, Centralized Internet Access with virus protection and firewalling services, IP based security, distance learning and much, much more.

"NewWave is very excited about the opportunity to renew our relationship with Dark Fiber Solutions. In our previous association with DFS, we were able to form a team that provided state-of-the-art fiber based services to hundreds of educational facilities, National Parks, Health Care Providers, multiple State and Governmental agencies and many Commercial customers. We fully expect to duplicate and even exceed our previous achievements with this new relationship in our Kentucky and Illinois markets," stated Jim Gleason, NewWave President.

"We are very proud of the services that NewWave has been able to bring to these markets and feel that the added strength of DFS will not only enhance these services but will give us the additional resources and expertise to expand our current service offerings," added Larry Hoyle, NewWave General Manager.

NewWave and DFS are kicking off their new relationship by offering businesses throughout the territory individualized consulting services including a full analysis of their current communications services, completely free of charge. Upon completion of this analysis, the business will receive a full report on the status of their communications systems and any recommendations for NewWave and DFS services that would enhance those systems.

"The future for most businesses is usually deeply rooted in telecommunications in some way. Our services provide high bandwidth based transport as delivered through fiber optic based applications. We are excited to be able to continue our relationship and offer these services throughout Kentucky. We are encouraging all business owners to allow NewWave and DFS to provide you with new technology alternatives to stimulate your business and allow you to be more competitive in today's technological market place," said Jack Dixon, President of DFS.

"I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to get back to my roots and provide previously unavailable services to these communities. I am personally committed to making this venture a resounding success for all involved," added Jack Dixon, DFS President.
