Dark Fiber Solutions, Inc. and Galaxy Cablevision Combine to deliver
Enhanced Web Based Access to Churches throughout Nebraska
FAIRMONT, NE- March 4, 2009 – Dark Fiber Solutions, Inc. (DFS) and Galaxy Cablevision, are pleased to announce the kick off of their Enhanced Web Based Access to Churches campaign. The campaign was officially launched today with the extension of the DFS/Galaxy fiber optic infrastructure to the Fairmont Community Methodist Church
DFS and Galaxy Cablevision have been working with the Fairmont Community Methodist Church for several years now to help the church utilize technology to reach the masses. The recent extension of the fiber optic infrastructure to provide the church with Enhanced Web Based Access was simply the next logical step in completing the on-going technology transformation at the church. The Enhanced Web Based Access will be utilized for the streaming of live video services from the Fairmont Community Methodist Church. Whether its the normal Sunday Morning Worship Service or a special event such as weddings, holiday events, etc… people that are physically unable to attend the church services will now have live video access via the Internet.
DFS recently completed a total makeover of the Fairmont Community Methodist Church web site which can be accessed at http://www.fairmontmethodistchurch.com/. The new web site will allow the church to take full advantage of the Enhanced Web Based Access. Not only does the new site offer access to live and archived video, but it also provides access to additional features such as the weekly church bulletin, guest book registry, the church calendar, and much, much more.
