Dark Fiber Solutions, Inc. provides the Village or Fairmont with added security
FAIRMONT, NE - October 20, 2009 - Dark Fiber Solutions, Inc. (DFS) in York, NE, announced the expansion of the surveillance system provided to the Village of Fairmont. DFS has added an additional camera to the existing surveillance system which will provide added security and recording capabilities for events within the Village. “DFS is proud to be working with the Village of Fairmont to enhance the safety of the community and are pleased to utilize our expertise in the surveillance industry to help the Village continue to expand the security provided to residents of the Village,” stated John M. Dixon, III, President of Dark Fiber Solutions, Inc. “The surveillance system includes 24/7 monitoring and recording of video. These same services are provided to all of our clients that have surveillance systems. Therefore, our clients can rest assured that in the event of an incident, we can provide a helpful solution to the problem,” concluded Mr. Dixon.
“From a law enforcement standpoint, having a company like DFS involved in our community has provided us with access to technology that is typically only available in larger metropolitan areas,” commented Village of Fairmont Marshall, Mr. Steve McLeish. “The donation of the second high quality surveillance camera will enhance our current video surveillance area and greatly enhance our ability to monitor key high traffic areas in the Village from multiple vantage points. We have utilized the video from the initial camera on several occasions and due to that video, have been able to gather details on events and solve crimes that we never could have solved in the past. The second camera will serve as an even larger deterrent to those contemplating committing a crime in the Village,” Added Mr. McLeish.
“Having access to technology is certainly important in today’s small community environment. However, having access to technology provided by a company that not only sells the equipment but provides you with the necessary training and support to integrate that technology is an invaluable asset,” stated Village of Fairmont Clerk/Treasurer, Ms. Linda Carroll. “Any time we have had a need for support or require assistance in retrieving video, DFS has been very prompt in their response. Villages of our size are constantly faced with staffing and budget limitations, having access to a second video camera is like adding staff without the additional budget or overhead expenses. We are truly grateful to DFS for all they do,” concluded Ms. Carroll.
