John M. Dixon III (Jack) - President
With over 27 years of industry experience, Mr. Dixon was instrumental in the start-up of Dark Fiber Solutions in 1999 and its subsequent success. In 2003, he was named Nebraska's Businessman of the Year.  He was personally responsible for obtaining the network management contracts with Galaxy Cable, Inc., where he was previously Vice President of Network Development, and with Charter Communications, Inc.  Prior to joining Galaxy, Mr. Dixon had held Regional Manager and other positions at Charter Communications, CableSouth and Benchmark Communications.  He is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE).

Scott Neff - Vice President of Network Development
Mr. Neff possesses over 15 years of senior level sales and sales management experience and was one of the earliest members of the Dark Fiber Solutions staff. His 15 years of sales experience includes sales in the high end video conferencing equipment arena and an extensive history in the fiber optic based high speed data services industry. This experience has made him one of the key contributors to the success of DFS.

Mr. Mandell is a Certified Public Accountant with 27 years of experience in the telecommunications, cable television and manufacturing industries, serving for many years in various executive and managerial positions. He is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Dark Fiber Solutions and its affiliated companies.

Randy Vanderheiden - Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Vanderheiden was the first engineer for Dark Fiber Solutions. In the past 10 years he has been working in the fiber optics community to include fiber optic plant design and implementation, LAN/MAN/WAN design and implementation, along with video conferencing testing and implementation. His dedication and attention to detail has enabled him to be a leader in the engineering community. He is a member of the Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE).

Jason Searles - Director of Technical Operations
Having 10 years experience in the networking industry, Mr. Searles joined the DFS Staff in 2008.  Prior to joining DFS Mr. Searles was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he obtained his Microsoft and Cisco certifications. He implemented complex LAN/WAN networks and custom server systems.  His dedication and acute attention to detail enable him to be an effective leader in implementing solutions in the technology industry.

Erik Fritzler - Director of NOC Operations
Mr. Fritzler has over 15 years experience in the networking industry. Prior to joining DFS, Mr. Fritzler held Senior Network Engineer and Director of IT positions for two Colorado ISP's. Mr. Fritzler holds the following certifications: CCNA, MCTS, JNCIA-EX, JNCIA-M. He is also a certified installer on Panasonic IP-PBX systems.
